I just recently started working for CR England and I was reading the different post of how bad of a company they are. Now I am a little skeptical of if this was the rright decision I made.

I was wondering if any of you have worked in the Smith field Dedicated Runs with CR? If so how bad is it and is there anything I need to be aware of. Im schedule to depart to their terminal on February 25th, driving trucks is something I've Ben doing for the past 3 years and I really don't want to end up with fulishness.

I'm leaving mjy family nfor this and reading these comments really don't help. Thanks in advance for any comments.

There are plenty of us Smithfield drivers that enjoy it and have been here for years and some it just does not work out for its up to you to make it work or fail! 3 years and it works for me

I have been driving for them for 6 months now. Like one of the previous people said, in the beginning it's a rough go no doubt.

But if you can get on with a dedicated account or even become a trainer it is totally worth it. I had my doubts on whether I would stick it out with them or not, but honestly if things keep going the way they are, I will and can most definitely see myself retiring with this company.

I have been driving trucks since 2003, and I'm glad that I decided to come to this company overall. Sure they have their up and downs like anybody but I think that the company is a great starting place and if you find your niche I think it's worth sticking around and seeing where it takes ya.

My husband has been with CR England since January 2011 and leased his truck in March 2011. The first few months were rough I can't deny that but once he signed on as trainer and applied for and was selected for a dedicated run, everything has been great!

He gets a regular paycheck, never gets in flack for scheduled or repairs, and his dispatch manager is awesome. Everyone at CR England has been good to work with. There have been a few exceptions like any large corporation.

As for their operations centers, he prefers Burns Harbor over SLC. Also, trucking driving is like any career...what you put into it is whal you'll get out of it.

My Hubby just quit them this week. He stayed away from our family for a month and made less than $100.00.

He has been driving since he was 21 and he is now in his late 30's. He was a driver trainer at England and was supposed to be paid top pay. That was FAR from the truth. If there is anyway to find another job DO IT!!!

And please for the love of your family DO NOT LEASE the truck.

The force you to (from what I have heard). Bad Bad Bad mistake.
