TrapStar of CDL Schools/Carriers. Dream Sellers who: Enslaves, Deprives, then Robs the Naive Desperate Student; BY Setting Them up for Contract Failure

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Way Too too easy to acquire a CDL. But don't get me wrong. This fact directly leads to my whole set of Cons. Haahaaaa hahaaa!!! Their game is COLD folks believe me I know. PROs? You'll have about a 60% chance for employment with another company after they'er finished wrecking you. I meant to say working you. After signing Their tricky Contract in haste to get employed; I say Good luck to ya! I may need witness protection due to exposing this. However. After acquiring their average students' experiences over the road you'll have about a 40% chance due to your bound to be damaged: MVR, DAC , and CSA reports; to only be qualifiable to use your CDL to work for them. Thus, justifying the name "Trap" and yes sir they'er great at doing it too "Stars". I know many victims personally. Why? 1 of the ways that they deprive you is by not teaching you to be an effective backer before you hit the road. They put the school's responsibilities, your life, and career within the variable hands of another set of yellowgreen skilled coworkers that are also on contract of whom they call THEIR TRAINERS. About this I say "Aye, u can roll the dice and play with ya life man..." if you choose C.R. England. Stop your DRIVING MANAGERS from Role Playing as if they are Oldman England himself. You can do better by replacing them with automated computer systems. Beware folks these guys, who you'll probably never meet in person will act as if you came directly to them asking for a job. They'er angry and mean. Why? They don't make as much money or have as much fun as they'er drivers. The kings of England will leave you to them home alone as if they'er sole proprietors; being authorized retaliation power to ruin your driving record(DAC) if you blow a whistle in rebellion to the kingdom's unfair policies.

Working for cr england

When not trusting your trainers and dealing with and explaining to help family after hurricane. Had bad customer service on consistent on leaving company with bad attitude and then couple weeks later some one nicer supposedly try have you stay after multiple bad experience and ignore family emergency then on top filing credit delinquency when they pushed to you leave and bad experience. To top it all off for starting pay is false and need extra cash on hand just to cover food, laundry, and other ect. So my rating is 1star and not getting a dime from me

Join a class action lawsuit against CR England

Worst job in the world my manager could barely turn on a computer. I worked overtime and was never paid.

Was called racist and sexist remarks. Threatened by drivers.

THERE ARE SEVERAL CLASS ACTIONS AGAINST THIS COMPANY IF YOU EVER WORKED FOR THEM YOU WILL BE ELIGIBLE FOR ONE OF THEM I AM SURE.

Drivers are not the only employees lied to and treated like crap, they treat certain office employees the same. The computer system is from 1985 and most managers have no computer skills. They offer no training, if you are lucky enough to find someone to help you might learn a few things.

I was told upon asking questions " did I f@** stutter" "same as yesterday" the people working with me did not want to train me. Everyone was disgruntled.

Inconsiderate drivers

On 8/15/2018 I pulled into Love's Station in North Las Vegas for fuel, there was a England truck in the second bay with his 4 Ways flashing. I thought he was getting fuel, so i pulled behind him only to wait for 15 minutes with no one getting out of the truck. The next bay to him opened up so i pulled over to it and to my surprise both drivers were sitting in the front seats having a sandwich and Bullshiting. As a driver this is so frustrating and inconsiderate to all others waiting to fuel. they were in TRUCK 54548 TRAILER 26930. they were there from 8:oo till 8:30 am never fueled just bought subway and sat in there truck in the fuel Isle B S ing and eating. Wouldn't give you 10 cents for any company who has drivers so inconsiderate. THANKS ALOT ENGLAND GOOD JOB HIRING THESE TWO!!!!!

An honest Review from a Long Term Employee

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
If you need your CDL and have no way to pay for it, CR England is a decent alternative. Just realize you will be married to them for one year, and the first 6 months worth of pay is starvation wages, the next 6 months are not much better. You will start out on a trainers truck, and in the four years I worked there AS a trainer, I noticed a definite degeneration in the quality of the trainers. This is because at a mere 6 months with the company, ANYONE can become a trainer. So, for instance, if you come aboard in the spring, and decide to become a trainer at 6 months, your very first winter driving experiences is training new drivers in winter conditions, up and over mountains, that you yourself have zero experience doing. This, in my judgement, is lunacy. But it's the only way to make any money right out of the gate. This is a mega carrier. Huge. As such, you can get lost in the shuffle very easily. The driver managers are decent, but anyone above them, good luck. They have built a system where, the system itself, is very effective at micro managing EVERY. SINGLE. ASPECT. of your job. The freedom of trucking in not having a boss sitting on your shoulders micro managing you all day. Well, not at CR England. You go a couple miles over the governed speed limit of 62, they WILL be calling you, and are not very nice to deal with. They say it's for safety. Don't let them fool you. Going 62 on a highway that has an 80mph speed limit is unsafe. It's all about the money in fuel. They will call you if you idle your truck to long, (which is a trick in itself, considering the truck automatically shuts itself off after a couple of minutes), so if you're parked, want to use electricity to watch some tv or play a video game...good luck with that. After 5 minutes your auxiliary plug ins shut down so that you don't drain the battery. You WILL run teams. Very few get to be solo, and not for very long. They will starve you into it. The trucks themselves are nice trucks. They keep them very well maintained, in my opinion. There is a little bit longer wait while your truck is getting worked on than I'd like, but not to terribly bad. If you need a trailer, finding one is a HUGE hassle. I've spent over a whole day on many, many occasions on a scavenger hunt driving to multiple shippers and receivers just to find one. And, no, they do not pay you for that. They have a "trailer hotline." No, it does not work. There are many other nuances that I could go on about. But this review is a bit long in the tooth already. So, in closing, come to CR England if you need an out of pocket CDL, and run just as fast as you can as soon as your obligation is up. If you leave beforehand, they will hound you, threaten you, and turn you over to a collection agency. A lot of companies that have hired drivers in the past from CRE who left early won't touch you because CRE had made their lives difficult. Because, oh yeah, in the fine print of the contract they make you sign on day one is a none compete agreement. Drive for CRE and only CRE until you reach your year obligation, or pay them back the $6000+ and "free" your CDL.

Safety is Not their concern.

Today, 7/12/2018 at 8:51am, I was almost struck by one of their driver. He had run a stopsign and was making a right turn onto HWY 18 Jefferson, WI. I did avoid hom by hard breaking and the speed limit is only 25mph. I did enter the "How am I driving" number into my phone at the next stoplight. Proceeded to a safe area to park and called. Danny answered and first asked if I was Ok, didn't sound as if he actually cared. I told him what happened and he asked for the trator number. I told him I was shook up and was busy getting the number to call. He told me he didnt know what druvers were where or who was in that truck. Advised him my husband is a driver and his company knows exaxtly where their drivers are at all times. All I knew is it was their truck and it was a black male driver. He told me maybe I get my information together before I called. Danny was very rude, loud and condescending. He seemed to want to get me off the phone and really didn't care if they have dangerous drivers on the road. I will admit I was upset that I had come so close to being involved in an accident with a Semi, but Danny only made the matter worse. I was going to ask to speak to hos supervisor, but he hung up.

First off......THEY WILL DO AND SAY ANYTHING TO GET YOU IN....With that said, it's all a scam. I am a veteran. They told me I would get all kinds of extras because of my status, including $200 a week extra. That was a lie. They said I would have home time after school. Another lie. I finished school and that's when I dis overed the lies. They broke the law!!!! PERIOD! The training......a joke. 1 day class room, 3 days driving ( joke) 3 days " backing". Then you test. If you pass, they give you a trainer....yeah....Can't train someone from a sleeper.....If you're lucky your trainer will pick you up the day after. If not you get stuck in the dorm. Not to worry, they pay you $25 a day per-diem...Oh, what ever you get paid during waiting for a trainer....they take out of your check. The recruiters LIE......You don't get paid during school, no home time during school, and they dont provide ANY food......The dm's dont care about you, the training coordinators cant help you. My coordinator was going to look into what I was promised by my recruiter........she got fired.....coincidence......I think not. And other companies wont hire you from cr england....And the driver trainers......your job as a trainee.....make them money.....they dont care either...DO NOT WORK FOR CROOKS.........

CR England Auto Lease Scam

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I worked for CRE as a DM for 2 years. They have a program where staff with poor credit can buy a car.

Its a total scam, predatory lending at best. I never got involved in it, but watched what happened to a few people who did. The cars they offer are all used, and all are priced at least $3000 - $4000 more than local market values. They offer a one size fits all 18% interest rate.

The contract is set up as a lease. They do not report anything to the credit bureaus that would actually help anyone improve their poor credit. They only report to the credit bureaus when you default on the lease by leaving their employment, voluntary or otherwise, since the only method to make payment is through payroll deduction. The only possible credit reporting anyone will ever get from them is negative.

They effectively create a captive employee for anyone who does happen to care about their credit. Worse, they use the negative reporting as a diaboloical punishment for anyone who dares quit working for them. Apparently they favor hiring financial illiterates and irresponsibles. Two managers in our office, each with over 10 years tenure, had multiple program cars.

One manager had a Lexus, a Charger, and a Caddilac SUV. She lived in three different rental houses over 18 month period, evicted from 2. Other manager had 2 pick up trucks leased, and lived in apartments with his wife paying the rent. They were both constantly in trouble because their accounts were losing money.

Losing money over the bad business deciscions they were making for their accounts that I witnessed and was forced to participate in, but which they lied about later when they got into trouble. I'm pretty sure CRE knows they were lying, but dont care because they are making too much money off selling cars to the illiterate irresponsible "managers".

Welcome to trucking!

If you are dumb enough to continue in this industry, this is only the first pack of lies you will be fed.

(I have 35 years experience in the industry, 20 as a driver, 15 years in dispatch and safety)

Trucking is and always has been the most corrupt business in the US. Remember Jimmy Hoffa and the mafia style teamsters, active through the 1980's? The only thing changed since deregulation is the Hoffas all wear business suits and sit in their CEO offices now.

There is a REASON trucking companies are ALL privately held vs.

publically held on the stock market, and it aint cuz they are nice, honest people. CRE corruption goes waaay back to the Hoffa era. You can tell that just by looking at the company history.

My advice is go home and get a job at McDonald's.

You will make more money and be in a safer environment.

The other commenter is right: DO NOT LEAVE THEIR POS TRUCK ANYWHERE BUT AT A YARD.

Leaving it anywhere else opens you to criminal charges and lawsuits. And, per federal law, they are obligated to get you home AT THEIR EXPENSE.

No they don’t “get you home” In fact when my husband and I mistakenly gave notice they sent us to the east coast and said we could leave it at a yard in Nebraska. We live in Vegas.

We’d had to take the action of quitting because I had gotten pneumonia from sleeping in the truck with no heat.

They’d set it so not only did it not idle but also all accessory power shut off as well and the DM had control over whether or not we were allowed either. Stating I had pneumonia and couldn’t drive they said my husband could and expected us to drive into a snow storm where with only him driving we’d have had to shut down for 10 hours with no heat.

I am a CDL driver. It is illegal what they are doing it is called false emprisionment and kidnapping.

U can not legally abandon their equipment even if u quit!

They can press charges and charge u for the expense of the truck, trailer and freight.

Be smart and get back to the yard. Park the truck and quit!

This way u are out clean and they have to send u your last check.

They have no reason to hold it..

Good luck! Call Schneider or Averritt!
